How much is the car hire deposit?
The short answer:
The car hire deposit is mandatory and charged at the time of pick-up
- It is €250 for the majority of vehicle classes, except premium classes
- It is €1000 for premium classes
- It is €500 for utility vehicles
The deposit is fully refundable if the vehicle is returned in the same condition and there is no additional fee charged on the return of the vehicle (such as an extra day, high mileage, fuel etc.)

In France, the deposit is debited from the driver's payment card and held for the car hire period. The car hire deposit is mandatory.
