What is the minimum age to hire a car?

• All drivers must be at least 21 years old, and 22 years old for the Canary Islands, having held their driving licence for at least one year (at least two years in the Canary Islands).
  
• There is a minimum age of 25 years for minivan-type vehicles, pickup trucks, premium vehicles and 4x4 vehicles

All drivers must be at least 21 years old, and 22 years old for the Canary Islands, having held their driving licence for at least one year (at least two years in the Canary Islands). Only drivers over the age of 25 may hire large minivan vehicles, premium vehicles, 4x4 vehicles or pickups.
